Since discovering the amazing benefits of yoga 20 years ago, I have been called to share this holistic practice so others can discover those benefits for themselves, and I strive to make yoga accessible to everyone. Whether teaching adults or children, my intention is to deliver an experience based on yoga philosophy, body alignment and developing the body/mind/spirit connection. I am a Certified YogaKids Teacher (CYKT) and lead children in exploring yoga and mindfulness to build a strong foundation for health and self care for themselves, for others and for the world around us.
In our fast paced, highly stressful world, yoga can provide a foundation for life-long self care and well-being. Physically, yoga benefits every system in the body. Mentally, yoga stimulates the brain and calms the mind. Spiritually, yoga increases awareness of the innate desire to achieve a state of calm and peace.
Mindfulness or meditation exercises are always included in every class. Children respond really well to the quiet, calm feeling that's achieved with practice! Yoga for children offers an incredible foundation of self care.
